Solar Tech Records is very excited to present their next release, the brand new EP from label artist, Shockwave entitled “Apophis.” Apophis includes four all new, never before released tracks. First on the release, “Sieze The Day” is a deep, chunky, progressive chugger. Next, “Vacuum” takes the energy up, with a deep driving psychedelic bassline, and a rich texture of leads and atmospheres to keep dancers engaged. In the next track, Shockwave collaborates with fellow producer, Hidden on their Full-On opus, “The Sixth Sun.” The Sixth Sun is a high energy psychedelic trance groover, sure to make dance floors go into a frenzy. Finally, the last track of the “Apophis” EP, by the same name keeps the energy high, with heavy psychedelic leads, deep pounding stabs, all framed by a deep pulsating Full-On bassline. These four tracks are sure to become instant classics, making Shockwave’s “Apophis” EP a must have for ALL fans of Psychedelic Trance! Shockwave’s music can be described as an euphoric journey into the psychedelic experience, filled with powerful basslines, high energy rhythms, souring atmospheres, and uplifting melodies that keep the dance floor grooving. Shockwave consists of long time friends, Niel Kirsten and Ronald De Stadler. After more than a decade as musicians, they discovered Psychedelic Trance in early 1999. After attending Solar Eclipse festival in the remote wilderness of South Africa in 2002, the duo decided to produce their own brand of Full-On Psychedelic Trance. In 2005 Niel and Ronald relocated to Cape Town, South Africa; one of today’s capitals of Psychedelic Trance music. They have spent many years honing their sound in and out of the studio; playing at some of the leading psychedelic music festivals alongside artists including: Artifakt, Absolum, Cosmosis, OOOD, Commercial Hippies, Burn In Noise, and many more!
